the GOOD PLACE. ABANDONED RUSSIAN ESTATES
1917 Revolution was the most horrifying period of Russian history. Nobility was totally abolished and all the estates (as well as private businesses) were expropriated within few years.
Hundreds of marvellous mansions have never been restored but these ruins have its own mystery and romantic mood.

Bostelman Estate near Rybinsk.
Built in the beginning of XX century.
Over USSR period had been used as the asylum for mentally ill and disabled children.
Tamarovo Estate near Tytaev.
Built in the beginning of XX century.
Was well known for its marvelous park. After 1917 owners buried all the treasures in a park then the family was imprisoned. A few years later communists brought the owner's wife to the park to torture her.
Borisovskoye Estate near Rybinsk.
Built in XVIII century in baroque style.
Vaulovo Estate.
Estate was a part of well-known Vaulovo skete.
Estate was very rich. Most of treasures were transferred to Rostov Kremlin museum by its owner just before Revolution. They are exhibited nowadays.
Salamander bricks (on the picture) were brought from US.
Shimaronovo Estate near Yaroslavl.
Beautiful rich estate at the marvelous location near bank of Volga river.
It used to be a sanatorium over USSR time.
Later metal roof was stolen and the building is in critical danger.
Bor Estate near Krasny Profintern (Yaroslavl).
Built in classic style. Owners had factories and few more estates in the area.
Climatino Estate near Porechye.
Built in classic style. Located in a beatiful park with a pond and a church.
Degtevo Estate near Yaroslavl.
Built in classic style.
Marvellous interiors and frescoes of the estate and church are mostly destroyed.
